Statement
My artistic projects are immersed in research and practice in new media art. Space, light, darkness, scale and time are the determining factors of my work.
From a specific site, my creative process is built, causing interrelationships with that place. I am interested in transforming space to challenge human perception and create new realities built from observation.
I work on the creation of audiovisual and light experiences. I think the power of creation is in experimentation, in exploring the unknown. For this reason, my production encompasses different technical development processes in multimedia and audiovisual formats and creative programming.
It is in my interest to investigate spatiality, light, interactivity and their different levels of participation, data visualisation, algorithmic design, geometric shapes and their dynamism, optics and energy. I am aware that materialising intangible magnitudes allows us to reveal new worlds in the environment to create sensory and cognitive experiences in the public.

TRINAX, a leading creative technology agency based in Singapore, specializing in the design and development of interactive digital experiences for brands, represents artist Miguel Ángel Murgueytio in the Asia Pacific region.
